Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

I painted “Evolution of Self” in 2013. It’s what I like to call a hybrid mandala. The theme of this piece is focused upon the various aspects of Self – the me, the you, the One. The string of symbols floating across it are visual representations of me singing psychedelic glossolalia as I grasp the true meaning of Self.

The symbols in the top corners are meant to represent me. I painted them as mirror images of each other, so that they would illustrate my experience self-reflectivity. The top left symbol represents the aspect of self I connect with most in my baseline state of consciousness, and the top right symbol represents the Self that spans all states of consciousness.

The circles at the bottom are meant to represent the earth, as it supports and nourishes a tribe of people of all colors (the squiggly lines). The people I depict are many different incarnations of Self, yet they are also only One Self. The dots symbolize where everything in the universe came from – stardust.

The painting is signed on the back, and it comes with a certificate of authenticity.
