Original artwork description:

An evolution of the 'Turning Corners' series.
Polished aluminium and acrylic corners in concentric curves.
Physics tells us that the event horizon surrounding a black hole is a boundary that can only be crossed once. What lies on the other side is beyond the reach of science and nothing can escape the gravitational trap, no light, no energy, nothing.
The concentric curves of polished aluminium pieces can be seen as a metaphor for the many decisions we meet in our lives. The arc of black pieces marks the border between the known and the unknown. What lies on the other side is invisible, unknowable. We will all cross this line once. There is no return. Death is a kind of event horizon. We will never know what lies on the other side. It is the greatest mystery.

Polished aluminium and acrylic
