The very FIRST triangle canvas. A whimsical tribute to Piet Mondrian via Euclid, Pythagoras, and the fibonacci series. This painting is deliberately measured @ 1 SQFT in area. Prior to this painting, I was doing research on Piet Mondrian and had just finished a stained glass commission in the 'Mondrian" style. I took the commission on a lark because of my love of triangles. Consequently, after completing the stained glass project, I had to get the "squares" out of my system, and came up with the concept of a painting of triangles on a triangle canvas. After this painting, I reproduced a stained glass replica of this painting. Shares, squares, everywhere, and not a triangle to spare.
This painting is riddled with golden ratios.
