I made the template for this art work whilst a beautiful model was posing. The figure is loose and abstracted because I spend most of my time looking at the model rather than what I'm cutting. The close-up photograph shows some of subtleties of the cut paper technique I use: you can see where I've cut the paper with a scalpel and there are variations of colour and brush marks in the painted paper. You can glimpse patches of dark blue through the black where I have layered the paint. There's also a subtle iridescent sheen to the painted paper.
The artwork comes in a protective clear plastic sleeve. There is extra space left around the figure to allow for framing (not shown in photo).
