Artist's description:

The Eo river separates Asturias from Galicia in Northern Spain. At its estuary the Eo valley partially submerges in the sea forming a “ría”, which is flooded by the sea and is subjected to tidal action for 10 Km up river. A 600 m long bridge, shown in the painting, overcomes the ría. The point of view chosen to create this painting is close to the river mouth, where the ria is 1,200 m wide. The cloudy sky determines the colors of the sea.
(Note: The word “ria” comes from the Galician language)
