Artist's description:

One of Barbara Hepworth's sculptures, 'Empyrean' - stands in the grounds of Kenwood House gardens. It's in memory of her son Paul, a pilot, who died with his navigator when his plane crashed. Children play around it all the time, not knowing what it stands for and the hidden meaning behind it. I find this scene touching to watch, so created a picture to express what I see.

Materials used:

acrylic, inks, screen print, collage, pen on paper
