Artist's description:

My work is largely autobiographical and this piece depicts a time in my life when I felt very vulnerable, after my mother died. I like to paint about how I feel, when I'm actually feeling it. I know it's not exactly upbeat and cheerful, but it's called being human. It's about life, which has it's downs as well as it's ups. I chose to paint a tiled floor to add a cold, bleakness and obviously the naked body portraying vulnerability.
