Original artwork description:

This painting is the first of a series of paintings of characters emerging from the forest. It further explores the ''Tahitian Convicts in the jungle'' thematic which brings together an abstract idea of a tropical jungle like landscape with characters inspired by the Pitcairn, Mutineer and Tahitian ancestry of the Pitcairn people on Norfolk Islands, and of the convict history on the island.

These paintings are also inspired by my own early childhood in Papua New Guinea, and my memories of seeing locals emerge from the forest as we would drive up into the highlands.

The painting is painted with a combination of different acrylic paints with different qualities, including Jo Sonja art paints, Golden Paints and Atelier interactive paints.

You will receive the painting with D hook and wire hanger on the back. The painting will be packed with cardboard corners in a reinforced cardboard flat package with bubble wrap to protect it.
