Plein air oil painting on two wooden panels. For months, I had painted this mountain, El Turbon, as a silhouette on the horizon. It was exciting to get up close, especially on a wintry day with snow on the peak. Inspired by Hockney's mountain roads, the road draws you in to explore the scene, with strange rocks like mini mountains.
