This is the second piece of two that were inspired from a recent trip to the beach. I was so inspired by the colors. It bought me back to my childhood days on the beach, so peaceful and perfect. Again, there are strong ties to beach or seaside town, elements of sales, boats, fishing lines, dunes. etc. I still continue to explore shape with the careful placement of cut out pieces of fabric and the natural line they make as well as the negative space. So much interest when you really start looking at the work. This piece is created on canvas using acrylic and textile, pastel, graphite and charcoal and sealed with a gloss varnish and framed with a simple wood strip frame.
