Artist's description:

When I saw this scene of East Rosebud Lake, Montana, U.S., I felt an urge to experiment by depicting it only in shades of grey and white. I used only those two paints and laid them down over a very light backwash of raw umber. The result makes me think of an old photograph.

This original painting is sold unframed. Please note: You probably will want to frame it to your taste, as the edges of the canvas are not finished and the stretcher is not gallery depth. Photos showing the work in a frame are for example only.

Thank you for taking a closer look and considering this painting. Though you buy the painting itself, I retain unlimited rights to use and re-use images of the painting, and works derivative of it, for all purposes.

Materials used:

Limited palette mixed from only two oil paints - white and grey - laid down on stretched canvas
