The evening light, especially in the winter always brings wonderful skies and colours. This painting was inspired by a stroll along the Tiverton Canal in Devon on a Sunday evening. I started the painting in water soluble oil paints and finished it in oils. Don't as me why! I built the painting up in layers and I think this has given the sky more depth. Hope you like it.
