Painted from a plein air sketch I did on a trip to Holland, this painting depicts the colourful Spring bulb fields around an area near Den Haag.
Painted with a palette knife in an impasto style. I am usually averse to man made straight lines in the landscape, but have always been attracted to the vibrant colours of the Dutch bulb fields!
