Artist's description:

I like bleak and I find wind-stripped landscapes, big skies and flat lands comforting. I suspect this comes from growing up in the East Anglian fens. When I visited Dungeness for the first time this year, I felt an instant connection with the landscape but this is no barren land. Romney Marsh is bursting with life: moths, bees, beetles, spiders, and over 600 different types of plant. This piece celebrates the abundance that floods across the beach and beyond.
