Artist's description:

A mixed media work bringing old photography, painting and collage and text together to create a thought provoking and ethereal piece to ponder on.

This work is a contemplation on maternity and the social conditioning of the female through the ages. It is an evocative and haunting piece, reflecting a narrative we all share using old photographs of mothers and grandmothers nursing babies and little girls nursing dollies. The words "I am who I am exclusively because of my mother" are interspersed between the two title words "Dropped Stitches" alluding to how our deepest and most visceral influences shape us and make us into who we are and will become.

It is presented in a plain white frame and white mount seen pictured in a "at home" context. I have signed it very discreetly on the front. It has fixings to enable it to be displayed on a wall.

The cost includes postage and packaging and every care will be taken to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
