Original artwork description:

A quiet moment, held in motion.

Drifting Over Edinburgh is a reflection of a moment that caught me, still, yet full of life. Painted on location, I was drawn to the Royal Scots Greys Monument standing firm and proud beneath a shifting sky. This piece is part of my degree show series, Silent Perspective, which explores the quiet rhythm of northern streets and the subtle, seasonal transformations that pass through them.

Using a muted palette and carefully balanced composition, the painting captures the contrast between movement and stillness, old and new, closeness and distance—spaces where people stand together, yet remain apart.
