Original artwork description:

Recently I've been working on some bigger canvases. This one is inspired by the wonderful winter Devon skies and open spaces, which I seem to be obsessing about at the moment. I really focussed on the tone of the clouds to create shape and depth, without getting too detailed and keeping an abstract feel. I worked building up layers of oil paint and working with rags and brushes to create atmosphere.

Oils on canvas, cold wax and linseed oil
