Birchover Shoot Derbyshire:
Birchover is an amazingly beautiful village in the Derbyshire Peak District. One local walk described in Brill Walks in the Peak, Book 2 (Bob Brill and Freda Bowman) is a relatively steady 3.5 -4mile trip packed with fabulous views and ancient monuments. Towards the end of the walk you take a right turning through a quarry car park. The route quickly starts to descent into the wood adjacent to the village of Birchover; that is when Kay spotted a great woodland scene. We spent a good 20 mins deciding just where to position the camera. The late afternoon sun was starting to illuminate the distant end of the woodland pathway. We debated on settings and finally took the shot. The resulting colour shot just looked too green with very little orange and gold coming through. So we decided eventually that a semi-infrared look would bring out the best in the shot. The result is what you see here; a lovingly made monochrome/semi-infrared with a very feint blue tint.
My wife and I are really pleased at how this picture turned out, we hope you love it too.
Again as always we are offering a limited print run of 10. Each metallic print will be accompanied with a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity. When they are gone they are gone!
