The challenge I had in mind when I started this set-of-three paintings, was to create different sections which could stand by its own, but when standing together they told a story.
The general idea over Dreams of Freedom is balance of society and life. On one side we have the city, with all the good and not-so-good things the city provides: judgements, bounds, stress, people, relationships, opportunities.. and on the other side we have complete freedom, represented by the Statue of Liberty, but comes with loneliness. When we are alone we are not judged by anyone and we feel free, and we start doing those crazy (most of the times funny) things we don't do when there are other people around.
All three paintings together, are like a scale completely balanced. One side can't stand without the other, and the bridge is both, a two-way path connecting both sides, and the middle part of the scale that holds both sides, achieving balance.
