It is said that some people dream in black and white and only a few in colour. I'm not sure about the veracity of this claim but I certainly dream in very bright colour. Indeed, I often see whole painting ideas in colour and wake myself to make a note of them. The most common theme in my dreams is the sea but I often experience it in very beautiful and almost magical colours: this painting symbolises that quality of water, colour and dreams.
