This painting was inspired by images of Tuscany -- one of my most-loved places on Earth -- so near and dear to my heart. I often dream of revisiting this place some day... It's such a beautiful, sun-drenched, colorful, fragrant and naturally abundant piece of land. Rolling hills, fields of colorful flowers, churping and buzzing in the still, warm air... It exudes peace and tranquility and invokes feelings of gratitude and joy of being alive. Also, this luscious landscape of a tuscan countryside reminds me of my birthplace - Moldova - making me feel a little sentimental...
I painted this artwork during one snowy, winter day, as an attempt to break the monotony of the white freeze and sublimate into some warmth and color, and I painted it (as always) from my imagination. I used watercolors and then some inking on the thick watercolor paper (all high quality materials, of course).
I didn't wanted to part with this peace at first. But now I've changed my mind: there's no more space on my walls and this painting deserves to be displayed, viewed and enjoyed rather than to be kept in darkness of storage, where no one can see it. So, that's my rationale for putting it up for sale...
This painting is sold unframed, however to be displayed it requires (glass) framing. The image is not protected by any fixatives, since I'm still experimenting and trying to find the best product for this (to avoid bleeding, etc). This original artwork is signed (initialed)/ dated in front and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Please, contact the artist if interested in purchasing.
