Artist's description:

This work is part of a larger collection of work called "The Gearilla Works". Hear gears play a major role in the work. It is my reaction to the notion that a machine or device is behind every success or failure story. It is about what lies beneath the surface. It is the turning the cogs of our destiny. It is a kind of steam punk impression of a mechanism that seems to function but it is difficult to determine what the device might do. It is made with hand cut gears collaged into the canvas and painted with enamel, oil, and acrylic paint skin.

Materials used:

mixed media on collage on canvas with oil, enamel, and acrylic paints.
