Artist's description:

I called this scene- Disturbed angles of deep orderliness

Art photography on linen of mixed media sculpture.

Giclée/Inkjet prints art photography on linen fabric (print only for sale)

Art photography of mixed media sculpture, I decided I would build miniature room corners within safe and precious little cabinets. I wanted to show respect and appreciation for such recluse and tranquil places of our being. Show the importance of such spaces within the home for thought and silence.

I photographed the model at a different time of day to create an atmosphere with natural light. This was effective as the sun casts shapes of furniture in the form of shadows onto the walls. I always feel overwhelmed when I am taking these photographs as I feel I am bringing objects to life.

The scent of being in life relates to us all in our places with the old home. I decided to print on linen as part of fabrics with the old wardrobe. I designed a little scene of a wardrobe as a tribute to is memories. With fresh lavender scented layers of linen and cotton. The old reliable wardrobe!

My inspiration came from the book "Poetics of Space" by the French philosopher Gaston Bachelard.

"The products of absolute imagination owe itself to the entire being to the imagination. Does there exist a single dreamer of the words who does not respond to the word wardrobe? The inner space of an old wardrobe is deep. A wardrobes inner space is also intimate space, space that is not open just to anyone. In the wardrobe there exists a centre of order that protects the entire house against uncurbed disorder.”
