Artist's description:

Back in 2012 I went in a journey to portray one of the most pristine valleys in Portugal, the Tua Valley/River. This place, where nature was kept untouchable for decades, was soon destined to disappear. Here you could find one of the oldest railways in Portugal, a centenary engineering masterpiece that a few years before could take you back in time. Now everything has gone to give place to a dam.
During that week in 2012, alone, by foot and just with the photographic equipment and a backpack, I was able to document history and for one last time appreciate the work of nature and men in a beautiful balance.

This artwork is one of the carefully selected photographs that speak about that journey and history.
