This series is inspired by the alpine landscape, and specifically standing-dead trees with their beautiful silver patina. These mixed media paintings use grids for composition and incorporate either pencil drawings, serigraphs or laser prints.

These tree drawings, or prints, are "displaced" within a separate landscape using a collage method. The contrast of detailed elements and the abstract background reveals the juxtaposition I find so interesting, and enjoyable.
