Original artwork description:

A girl looks on as a part of her is shed. Are the scissors in control and she's looking on, accepting of the changes being made? Or is she in control, as they hover above her hand? And can there ever be progress without some growing pains and blood shed, even when we're ready for it? My art is always for the viewer to interpret and determine their own meaning.

This painting is signed on the front, and signed, dated, and titled on back. The sides have been painted a beautiful gold that complements the colors in the painting, so that it's ready to hang.
