National Geographic once called it “the most beautiful place on earth”. It’s suffered the Vikings, welcomed Hollywood and its most famous local is a dolphin. This is the Dingle Peninsula.It is one of Ireland's most beautiful coastal regions. Home to Antarctic explorer Tom Crean, fungie and great Irish pubs.It is ringed by sandy beaches and craggy cliffs. Inland are rolling hills and mountains, including 952m-high Mount Brandon. The region is an officially recognized bastion of Irish language and culture. Dunmore Head, mainland Ireland’s westernmost point, has views of the Blasket Islands, famous for Irish-language memoirs documenting rural life there in the 1800s and early 1900s.

The sides of the artwork are painted over and the painting has been varnished to protect its surface from the environmental factors such as dust and ultraviolet light .
