Artist's description:

Studies done on location in Tucson, AZ during the 5th Annual Plein Air Convention informed the creation 'Desert Empathy' and now 'Desert Relic'. This piece illuminates the harmony of feminine and masculine energies, engages the trials of love and fear within, and invites you to continually investigate your mind and heart with compassion. ”Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darkness of other people.” - Carl Jung

In order to create a digital artwork which also display the qualities of impressionist brushwork and color, I first utilize traditional impressionist technique with oil paints. Later manipulating and transforming photographs of painted images to discover entirely new color harmonies which still hold onto their original relationships to one another. This nearly abstracted still-life takes on a unique contemporary feeling with a combination of subtle as well as bold color harmonies.
This Giclée is made using fade-resistant, archival inks (pigment-based), and archival, acid free paper.
