This is a depiction of the young and extremely talented dancer Lerato Ragontse. I loved painting her and have done so a number of times. In this her figure seems to be defying gravity. Yet once again its her expression I love. She's not smiling or grinning but she gives off the air of complete satisfaction and contentment. She's showing us what we all strive for, to find something we were meant to do and accomplish it with joy.
This was a collaborative piece with the skilled photographer Ruzica Puskas-Ragontse, and the ballerina Lerato Ragontse.
The painting is framed in a solidly made, 55 ml wide, frame painted in light grey. The painting is painted on canvas board and mounted on card, housed behind acrylic glass. Frame was professionally made to order by Frames Express.
