Artist's description:

2016 was a year of high tensions. Political turmoil, protests, racial divide, and more. What can one person do? Quite a bit, but for me, I feel art is an answer. When I feel overwhelmed of all I see and hear in the world, I react by making art. This piece is called "Deescalate" in hopes that a call will go out to step back and rethink our positions and goals. To maybe see each other and the world in a more passionate and tolerant perspective.
This is a mixed media work on heavy Bristol paper. Acrylic paint with chalk pastels over top, and a clear lacquer to seal it. It comes unframed, but if you prefer a frame, contact me and we can discuss details.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint, chalk pastel, water, spatulas, clear lacquer
