Artist's description:

This drawing is part of a recent body of work inspired by a collection of old black and white family photos. Looking at the photos made me think about how we often do not realise when we are living some of the best moments of our lives.

The drawing was made by first making an ink monoprint onto pale blue pastel paper. Once the ink dried I then worked over the print using soft pastel, to add colour and details to the figure. The drawing has been professionally framed behind glass in a contemporary white wooden frame (see photos).

Will be wrapped in glassine paper, bubble wrapped, sandwiched between cardboard, and shipped in a cardboard box. Certificate of Authenticity included.

Materials used:

Ink and soft pastel, on pastel paper

Deckchair, 1960s - Framed pastel drawing (2017)
