Artist's description:

Fruit and uncorked wine painted in fine oils on rustic linen. This piece is done in a style and technique of the old masters with several layers of glaze. The result is deep, rich vibrant colors that really show the effects of light and shadows which is most important to capture your eye. Each shadow, grape and fruit and stem is placed in a way to keep the eye flowing on this piece. While some museum pieces are masterfully done, they may lack this technique, resulting in the eye observing the picture frame or moving on to another painting without much thought... Débouchée will catch your eye and keep it with it's lovely simplicity.
