Artist's description:

A series that began on the streets of Manhattan. A book bought from the street peddling librarian for an easy dollar. Strolling along to life drawing and wine. And dead souls. Dead Souls. A Russian novel by the well credited author Gogol. It is considered one of the greats. It is humorous. It is Russia. The words on the pages bare no meaning to the figurative sketches of the models and life dwellers I attached to them. The figures. The words. Stand as they are. No life. No soul. It is humorous. It is art. This is an original large mixed media painting. Only 10 paintings have been created from original book page sketches in the 'Dead Souls' Collection.
**Note: All J.Charboneau artworks are original and no prints have been made.
