Oral tradition passed down from our elders and proverbs from ancient ancestors are like a familiar soup rich with stock and vegetables. Many voices are the ingredients. Cultures and customs are the herbs and spices. Blended together we are warm, comforted, and all the better. That was my inspiration for this piece.
