Artist's description:

I've drawn Dayna many times and painted her twice. This is the second one. It was painted at SoWa studio of a Boston area portrait painter. He'd hold a 12-hour pose over four sessions; I'd show up for one of them and do the painting in a single sitting.

Many of his students attended the sessions and one day I looked over to see the person next to me facing away from her painting and looking at her work in a little pink hand mirror. That's a good idea, I thought, then looked around and realized that everybody was looking at their painting in a little pink hand mirror

Materials used:

Oils, safflower oil, rectified turp
