This sunflower painting is called Dancing in the Sun. I enjoy playing with various artistic techniques and styles. In this artwork you see combination of traditional landscape painting technique and acrylic pour. I chose the soft, earthy tones to create this semi abstract floral painting which would beautifully fit in any décor. I hope when you are looking at this vibrant artwork, you can imagine yourself lying down in a field of sunflower, looking up at the sky and you see the sunflowers dancing in a wind above you.
The sides of the canvas are painted and it's ready to hang. I always use 1.5" thick gallery wrapped cotton canvas for its durability and its 3D effect. The canvas is stretched over high quality pine wood frames and stapled on the back providing a clean finish on the sides. Since the sides are painted, the painting can be left unframed for the contemporary look.
