Original artwork description:

In this painting i depict the story of Daphne and Appolo interwined with memories of my childhood fairytales and literature of my youth. According to the myth, Eros insulted by Apollo for also using an arrow and a bow, it shot Appolo with an arrow that made him fall in love with a nymph called Daphne. Eros shot Daphne too, with a different arrow that made her despise Appolo. In the end Eros helped Apollo catch the nyph, but she desperately begged her father Peneus for help, who turned her into a tree. Since then Apollo wears Daphne's leaves on his hair to honour her.
It is truly an inpiring story! Eros is depicted on the left up corner of the painting, Appolo blue in the middle up, Daphne in orange colors beside him. The wolf in the left the swan and the elephant are remnants of different fairytales and myths, mixed memories.

Materials used:

oil paint
