Artist's description:

This painting is inspirational from Greek traditional ornament used to called dantela.
Dantela means lace in Greek. Elderly women in the Greek islands tend to knit in the sun.
A traditional art and a different expression of the previous years, you can find either in our days.
They used to decorate their houses and their clothes.
For me is impossible to Knit a dantela so I painted one.
Painting with silk colors and there are a million dots with different colors.
The lace finish is burned with pyrograph.
Extremely difficult to frame due to the sensitivity of silk as a material.
It's ready to hang and you can see details of the frame on the pictures.
Discretely signed on the front.
Delivered in a wooden box.

Materials used:

silk and special silk colors, plexiglass, wooden frame
