An original acrylic painting on high quality canvas textured acrylic paper. Kalash are a unique tribe who live in the remote valleys of Chitral at the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Kalash has maintained their traditional way of life for centuries though they have come under pressure and even persecution for their unique way of life.
The valleys where Kalash live are extremely fertile producing all sorts of foods, fruits, nuts and grains sustaining their culture and life. Kalash women are known for their smile and the exorbitant display of colourful dresses and jewelry especially when they perform their traditional dances.
