Artist's description:

As I continue to progress with my painting, I find myself experimenting more and more with different mediums and techniques to give my paintings more pop. This piece had a very interesting aspect mixed into the paint, gold. Not real gold but gold flake. The pigment itself is very over powering when mixed in with colors. Often I find the color completely washed out and turned into a mud brown. In this scenario I mixed it into the black as well as bright violet color accents. this should give the piece a very light glimmer when faced with light. Also as with previous pieces such as "McDouble" I used my new experimental oil. Not nearly as heavy as in other pieces, but still substantial. This technique has been observed to give the colors a new level of vibrance that I could previously no achieve.

As for the image context, I cannot say much in order to not bias your judgement. Simply I will describe this piece as the definition of the title. A short love affair.
