Artwork description:

Dahlias Emerging is varied edition multiblock linocut.

The colour of spring after a long winter. What joy. This series was handprinted using traditional hessian-backed lino, Japanese vinyl and softcut lino plates.

A multiblock print is formed from multiple blocks printed onto the same paper, and can be formed using relief and Intaglio blocks. This method allows the artist to play with block registration, colour, inking techniques between designs. I use multiblock print technique as it allows for wider experimentation and greater development of ideas.

This print is sold unmounted and unframed.
