Artwork description:

The inspiration for this piece came from flowers I discovered in Pollock Country Park in Glasgow. Dahlias are an interesting source of inspiration for me because of their flower size, different petal shapes and unique colours.
The linocut has been handcarved in a linoleum and handprinted in my studio using acid free white paper and Cranfield Caligo safe wash black ink.

Materials used:

Linoleum, cutting tools, roller, Acid free white paper, Cranfield Caligo safe wash ink
