The work was written in Sicily near the legendary rocks of the Cyclops. They are well known to everyone from the immortal work of Homer - Iliad. It is incredible how much the place where you paint affects the painting. Not only in colour, saturation, tone, but even the surrounding nature itself sometimes guide you on how to apply a stroke on the canvas! It seems to me that after this Plein air I began to understand the impressionists better.
