Artist's description:

Heart of the Hampshire countryside, England. Life here hasn't change in 500 years or more except for the change of transport and clothing the people wear. Here you'll find thatched cottages for the farm workers and Tudor-beam houses for the gentry, all of which have large gardens with big deep working wells - lower the buckets on ropes and draw up free and fresh water. Critchell's Green is about five miles north of the small market town of Romsey (home to Lord Mountbatten of Burma at Broadlands.) To find take the A27 north-west from Romsey, zoom through Shootash (note the Roundhouse thatched cottage on your right), go through Kent's Oak then Carter's Clay, finally turn left past the pub and you're there at Critchell's Green.
