My obsession with eggs and classic retro British sweets collides in this painting of a Cadbury's Creme Egg. If you've never had one, it consists of a thick chocolate shell housing a white and yellow fondant filling. They're delicious! And like a lot of popular sweets, the design and typography of the packaging is amazing too.

For this painting I've chosen to depict the egg as if it's been cracked open with some of the fondant oozing out, just like some of my previous egg and melting ice cream images.

The end result is a bold painting that would brighten up any room in your home, or would make an ideal gift for someone with a sweet tooth.

It is painted in acrylics on thick A4 acrylic paper. PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in a white A4 frame for display purposes. So the third picture best shows what you'll be receiving. Message me separately for framed prices!

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Patrick Caulfield.
