Original artwork description:

Crash In To You was inspired by the shimmering clouds at twilight.

I started this painting with acrylic paint and blended it like watercolors. Although I guide the paint, I also let the colors and shapes develop naturally.

The under painting process I use lends itself to creating organic forms, which I then tighten up with structural lines. This layering technique mirrors the larger theme of my work: the hard edges of our structured world contrasted against the organic forms of the natural world.

I created this abstract painting using archival-grade oil paint and natural non-toxic solvent on luxuriously thick, 1.5 inch deep gallery wrapped canvas. The edges are painted, so the piece is ready to hang unframed.
**For customers outside the United States: Due to it's extra large size, Crash In To You will be shipped rolled in a tube and will need to be re-stretched before it is ready to hang. Feel free to contact me with questions.
