Forming part of a series depicting Cranes. This time they are perched on a rock in water, gazing at the dawn. I'm very pleased with the formation of the sun and clouds and the gradations of colour.

The crane is the most popular bird in Chinese history and is the symbol of longevity and auspiciousness. In ancient China the crane was regarded a having a long life span. It also represents a lasting soaring spirit, health and happiness.

This work is mounted but unframed.
