I live in the Lakedistrict in Cumbria, UK. We are surrounded by farm animals, beautiful scenery, sheep and cows, deer, owls and lots of others. I'm predominantIy a portrait artist and painter of people in an urban, street art realistic sort of style. I love Swaledales and Herdwicks and wanted to paint a set of animal paintings in my style and faithful to the area where I live. Some are painted on lakeland slate others on wood and some on canvas. I digitally altered a photograph taken of a Swaledale using various apps and image editing programs and changed the colours, added textures and layers. This formed the source material for the final painting.
