This painting was created with the idea of having hot and cold colors compete to make an active surface.
This is an original abstract acrylic painting created with texture medium on canvas. The texture is applied and sculpted before any paint is applied. It dries for several days and then many layers of paint are added. It's finished with a couple layers of UV varnish to protect the color. The canvas is 1.5" deep and painted black on the sides for a finished look that does not need framing. It's wired and ready to hang.
