Artist's description:

Lately, I have been going to the mountains every weekend, it's one of my biggest passions. I first went with my parents, when I was very little, so you could basically say I was raised on mountain paths and then, starting with middle school, I started going with friends and I don't think it's something I'll ever give up. I went on many mountain paths, in my own country, as well as abroad, but what impressed most so far, were the Retezat Mountains, right here in my own back yard, in Romania. Around 80 lakes can be found in these mountains, of various sizes, colors and depths. The Bucura Lake is the largest glacier lake in the country and it is absolutely impressive. The one in this photo is not Bucura, but it certainly is beautiful and big. It was very hot the weekend I went there and all the lakes tempted you to just dive in and cool. Yeah, right! First of all, you're not allowed to bathe and secondly, you would instantly freeze, as they are glacier lakes after all. So, we just admired them, took some photos, admired them some more and then went on our way. Probably I'll have more photos ready to show you from the Retezat Mountains, so stay tuned! :D
